Payment & Refund Policy
Payment & Refund Policy
Last Updated: 11 August 2026
This Payment & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through PawCart UK, a trading brand of IRISH TRADERS LTD.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
1. Payments
PawCart UK accepts the payment methods displayed as available during checkout.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.
By submitting an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
2. Currency and Pricing
Unless otherwise stated, prices for UK customers are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
The total amount payable will be displayed before you complete your purchase, including applicable delivery charges and other charges that we are required to disclose.
3. Payment Authorisation
All orders are subject to successful payment authorisation.
A transaction may be declined or require additional verification by:
-
Your bank
-
Card issuer
-
Payment provider
-
Fraud-prevention systems
We may cancel or temporarily hold an order where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, payment problems, obvious pricing errors, product availability issues, or other legitimate reasons.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, an appropriate refund will be issued.
4. Refunds for Cancelled Online Orders
Where you validly exercise a statutory right to cancel an eligible online purchase, we will process your refund in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Where legally required, this will include:
-
The amount paid for eligible returned goods
-
The applicable standard outbound delivery charge
If you selected a more expensive delivery service than our standard delivery option, the additional premium delivery cost may not be refundable where permitted by law.
5. Refund Processing Time
Where goods are being returned following cancellation, we may be entitled to wait until:
-
We receive the returned goods; or
-
You provide evidence that the goods have been sent back,
whichever applies under applicable law.
Once a refund becomes due, it will be processed within the timeframe required by applicable UK consumer law.
Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
6. Refund Method
Refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase unless another method is agreed or required by applicable circumstances.
7. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, or not as described, please contact PawCart UK promptly.
We may request reasonable supporting information, such as:
-
Order number
-
Description of the issue
-
Photographs
-
Video where appropriate
This helps us investigate the issue with the relevant supplier or fulfilment partner.
However, your statutory rights are not dependent on our supplier approving your claim.
Where applicable, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with UK consumer law, which may include a refund, repair, or replacement depending on the circumstances.
8. Change-of-Mind Refunds
Eligible change-of-mind returns are handled according to our Returns Policy and applicable UK consumer cancellation rights.
Certain products may be exempt from change-of-mind cancellation rights where legally applicable, including certain:
-
Perishable goods
-
Sealed hygiene-sensitive products after unsealing
-
Products unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons after being unsealed
These exceptions do not remove your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, or not as described.
9. Order Cancellation Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible.
Because orders may be transmitted automatically to third-party suppliers or fulfilment partners, we cannot guarantee that fulfilment can be stopped after it has begun.
If the order cannot be stopped before dispatch, any applicable statutory cancellation and return rights will continue to apply.
10. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or more than once for the same transaction, please contact us with your order details.
We will investigate the transaction and refund any amount confirmed to have been charged incorrectly.
11. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If you experience a problem with an order, please contact PawCart UK so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Nothing in this section limits any rights available through your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or applicable consumer law.
12. Dropshipping Orders
Some PawCart UK orders may be fulfilled by third-party suppliers or fulfilment partners.
The involvement of a third-party fulfilment provider does not remove PawCart UK's responsibilities to its customers for purchases made through our store.
Customers should contact PawCart UK regarding refunds, cancellations, or problems with orders rather than attempting to resolve the matter directly with an unidentified supplier.
We will communicate with our fulfilment partners where necessary.
13. Returns Address
Because products may be supplied by different fulfilment partners, the return address can vary between orders.
Do not automatically return products to 48 Sandown Road, Belfast, BT5 6GY.
Please contact PawCart UK first and obtain the correct return instructions.
